You can already ask an AI about any of this. Here is what changes when it remembers.
A general assistant is genuinely good at any single question. Ask it how to build a savings plan and the answer will be sound. Ask again in March and it will be just as sound, and just as new — it will not know you already made a plan, or that you stopped following it in February.
Histriva is the same conversation with continuity underneath it. That is the whole difference, and it is worth being precise about where it does and does not hold.
| Doing nothing | An app per area | A human coach | A general AI | Histriva | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Remembers what you said last month | No | Stores the data, not the story | Yes | Starts from zero each chat | Yes — included free |
| Sees more than one part of your life at once | No | No — each app owns its lane | Yes | Only what you paste in | All six on Pro. Free unlocks one and shows the rest |
| Reaches out when you go quiet | No | A streak notification | Yes | No — you have to open it | Yes, after a few quiet days. At most once a fortnight |
| Notices when the plan stopped matching your life | No | No | Yes — and better than we do | Only if you think to ask | In the app, when you next open it |
| What it costs | Nothing | Three or four subscriptions | ~$200 an hour | ~$20 a month | Free, or $14.99 a month |
| What happens to what you write | — | Varies. Usually unstated | Stays between you | Often used to improve the model | Never trained on. Never pooled with anyone else |
Where a human coach still wins
A good coach hears what you did not say. They notice the pause before you answer, and they can tell the difference between a bad week and a wrong plan faster than we can. A standing appointment carries a weight that a notification does not.
We are not trying to be better than that. We are trying to be available on a Tuesday night at eleven, for the price of lunch.
What we do with what you write
Your reflections are never used to train a model, and never pooled with anyone else's. That is not a setting you have to find — it is built into how the data is stored, and it applies to every account.
Histriva is in closed beta. Leave your address and we will let you know when a place opens.
